When did you become involved in mission or public benefit flying and why?
I became involved in Angel Flight in 2005 starting to fly missions. Later that same year I joined the board to help grow the organization and to prepare the group for crisis planning.

What is the most memorable flight you have ever had and why?
One was with a 5-year-old boy who had burned himself after playing with matches. I took him to the burn center in Augusta, Georgia. He was doing well, and did recover. But he sat up front and watched everything, had lots of questions and then he talked on live radio about his flight when we landed in Augusta.

What would you like EAA members to know about the type of flying you do?
Charitable flying is a great way to enjoy your flying activities while at the same time giving back to the community. It is win-win. Just try it and you will be hooked!

Why is the Fly For Life program important to EAA AirVenture 2009 attendees?
Many pilots have never been introduced to charitable flying and this is a great time to bring this service to the understanding of many pilots. Get involved now. The general public is questioning GA flying, corporate flying, and this is the time to let them know how important GA flying is for the community.
