Corvin Huber, newly announced CEO of Remos Aircraft, unveiled the company's latest light-sport aircraft-the Remos GX-at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh on Tuesday. The new aircraft features improvements to the G-3 design including a new wing, changes to the fuselage, an expanded cargo area, a ground-adjustable Sensenich propeller, and night visual flight rules certification.

"The new Remos GX enhances a proven and reliable aircraft, bringing the latest technology into the mix and assuring that Remos maintains its point position in light-sport aircraft going forward," Huber said.

The Remos GX fuselage retains the basic dimensions of the G-3, but it has been manufactured as a more integrated design that is stronger and lighter. Huber notes that a new dorsal fin contributes to improved flight stability, safety, and the aesthetics of the profile. The wing is now made entirely of carbon fiber and uses monocoque construction, while the airfoil has been modified for better penetration in turbulence, allowing for a higher roll rate. An enlarged baggage space has been added, allowing for the transport of golf clubs and hunting or fishing equipment. The aircraft retains its 650-pound useful load capability, one of the largest in the light-sport aircraft industry.
